Detailed description
The GKS35-10 is a high-power LED bulb designed for relamping existing installations equipped with discharge lamps. With an E40 base and 360 degree emission, it replaces the source without modifying the luminaire or its support, making it a quick renovation lever for local authorities and managers of industrial sites.
Applications
- Renovation of public lighting poles and lanterns with E40 bases.
- Industrial halls and warehouses equipped with discharge pendants.
- Covered car parks, loading docks and logistics areas.
- Sports facilities and high-ceiling covered spaces.
Technical highlights
- 110 W for 14,300 lm, i.e. 130 lm/W: this efficacy compares directly with that of the removed source, and it is on this difference that the return on investment of a relamping operation is calculated.
- 288 Samsung LEDs: multiplying the emitters spreads the flux and the thermal load, which avoids the concentrated hot spots typical of modules with few chips.
- 360 degree distribution: omnidirectional emission reproduces the behaviour of a discharge lamp, a condition for the reflector of the original luminaire to keep its photometry.
- Adjustable E40 base: rotating the body relative to the base makes it possible to correct the position of the source in luminaires where the screw axis is not vertical.
- IP64: fully dust-tight and protected against splashing water, suited to open or poorly sealed fittings in an old installation.
- 50,000 h MTBF: a maintenance horizon to weigh against the cost of access, often the heaviest item for a light point at height.
- 118 x 229 x 282 mm: check this volume before ordering; it is the main obstacle to E40 relamping in bowls or closed lanterns.
This solution suits installed bases where complete replacement of the luminaires is not feasible in the short term and where the aim is to reduce consumption without undertaking works. If your fittings are dilapidated or their optics are degraded, complete replacement will give better photometric results. A survey of the internal dimensions and condition of the luminaires allows a quick decision.
