Detailed description
The GKH15 Transformer UFO high bay is a 100 W industrial luminaire designed for installations that must remain upgradable. Its particularity lies in its smart interface: the same luminaire body accepts a 3-in-1 dimming module or a sensor (PIR presence detection, WIFI module, photocell), fitted at installation or added later, without replacing the fitting or rewiring the line.
Applications
- Maintenance workshops and garages, where lighting must remain strong at the workstation but can dim in the aisles.
- Production areas and assembly lines with variable occupancy, controlled by presence detection.
- Little-used warehouses and stockrooms, where a photocell avoids staying on in broad daylight.
- Hot technical rooms, with temperature resistance up to +50 °C ambient.
- Gradual renovations: simple high bays are installed first, and sensors are added as the budget allows.
Technical highlights
- 100 W at 100 to 277 V AC: a wide voltage range that covers common networks without changing product reference from one site to another.
- Modular smart interface: 3-in-1 dimming or PIR, WIFI or photocell sensor, fitted and exchanged directly on site.
- Aluminium body: passive dissipation is what keeps the LED junction temperature in check, and therefore what determines how well the flux is maintained over time.
- Withstands up to +50 °C ambient: useful under a metal roof in summer, where the temperature measured at luminaire level far exceeds that measured on the floor.
- Suitable for enclosed fixtures: the GKH15 can be installed in a closed housing, a situation that defeats most high bays cooled by free convection.
- 100,000 hours stated and 5-year warranty, with UL and RoHS certifications declared by the manufacturer.
This model is justified when your control strategy has not yet been decided: rather than choosing today between a plain luminaire and one with detection, you install a homogeneous base and add the function where it is really useful. To determine the number of 100 W points for your ceiling heights and target illuminance levels, request a lighting study or browse the high ceiling range.
