Detailed description
The VERTIGO AIRLUX 50 combines two functions in a 600×600 panel format: lighting a room and treating its air. It is installed in a standard suspended ceiling, replacing an existing panel, without ductwork or a remote unit. Its value is measured above all in continuously occupied rooms where air quality is an issue, with no possibility of reworking the building’s ventilation.
Applications
- Densely occupied offices and meeting rooms.
- Healthcare facilities, practices and waiting rooms.
- Classrooms and teaching premises.
- Reception areas and spaces open to the public with limited air renewal.
Technical highlights
- Treatment by photocatalysis, with a patented nanocomposite active ingredient (JM-TTA) registered with the FDA. The manufacturer states the destruction of 99.99 % of viruses and bacteria, including H1N1 and SARS-Cov, as well as volatile organic compounds.
- No ozone emission: a decisive point for a device intended to operate in the permanent presence of occupants.
- Purification rate of 45 m³/h: it is this value, related to the volume of the room and the target air change rate, that determines the number of units to install. As a guide, a 30 m² office with a 2.7 m ceiling represents about 80 m³.
- Noise level below 40 dB: compatible with use in an office or meeting room, where a noisier device ends up being unplugged by the occupants.
- 3,600 lm for the lighting part, UGR below 19: UGR measures discomfort glare. Below this threshold, the panel is suitable for screen workstations, which allows the AIRLUX to replace an existing office luminaire without degrading visual comfort.
- Total power of 50.95 W for both functions combined, lighting and purification.
- 598x598x120 mm for 6.5 kg: the 120 mm depth requires an available plenum, and the weight must be checked against the load-bearing capacity of the suspended ceiling grid.
Sizing an AIRLUX project is done differently from a conventional lighting project: the number of panels results from crossing the photometric need with the air flow to be treated, and it is generally the latter that dictates. We can carry out both calculations from the plan and the volume of your premises.
