Detailed description
The SL-N1615 is a flexible neon in optical-grade silicone, with a 16 x 15 mm cross-section. Its emitting surface shows no light points: you see a continuous band, not a succession of LEDs behind a diffuser.
Fields of use
- Marine and boating: gangways, decks, superstructures exposed to spray.
- Seafront façades and terraces.
- Outdoor architecture: bands, cornices, frames.
- Industrial or food processing spaces subject to acid washing.
- Landscaping and covered surroundings.
Technical highlights
- Dow Chemical optical-grade silicone: the material is chosen for its diffusion qualities as much as for its durability. The result is a smooth luminous surface and colour stability superior to that of conventional PVC sleeves.
- Resistance to salt, UV and acids: the three typical attacks of coastal and industrial environments. It is this trio that justifies using this model rather than an indoor neon repackaged for outdoor use.
- IP67: unaffected by dust and temporary immersion, and therefore by waves, splashes and deck washing.
- Vertical bending, 200 mm radius: the bend is clean but wide. This neon follows architectural curves, not tight lettering. Check this point if your route includes sharp angles.
- Up to 697 lm/m: a flux that remains legible outdoors, including in the presence of competing street lighting.
- CRI above 90: varnished wood, stainless steel and hull paint keep their true colour under this light.
- 24 V DC supply: a low operating voltage, a significant advantage in humid environments and on board.
- 3-year warranty.
First compare the geometry of your route with the minimum radius of 200 mm, then the aggressiveness of the environment with the chosen protection level. If your need involves tight curves, a model with a thinner cross-section will be better suited. For a project in a saline environment, send us the exposure conditions and we will confirm the configuration to choose.
