Detailed description
The REXSHOCK TUBULAR IP is a tubular linear luminaire intended for corrosive atmospheres: saline atmospheres, chemical vapours, livestock buildings, treatment plants. Its 75 mm diameter cylindrical geometry is not decorative; it eliminates the edges where humidity and aggressive agents concentrate.
Applications
- Port sites and installations exposed to sea air.
- Treatment plants and rooms with sulphurous vapours, to which the luminaire is stated to be immune.
- Livestock buildings and rooms with high ammonia concentrations.
- Chemical workshops, washing areas and humid technical rooms.
- Rooms with large temperature swings, where condensation is the main cause of failure.
Technical highlights
- Two levels of sealing depending on the diffuser: PMMA reaches IP69K and is aimed at high-pressure washing; polycarbonate reaches IP67 and covers temporary immersion. The choice is made on the site’s actual cleaning method.
- Patented anti-condensation depressurisation valve: a perfectly sealed luminaire traps internal humidity during cooling cycles. The valve balances the pressure without letting liquid water in, which avoids misting on the diffuser and internal corrosion.
- 316L stainless steel end caps: this grade resists chlorides. It is the weak point of a luminaire by the sea, where the screws often give way before the optic.
- IK10: impact resistance in vehicle circulation areas.
- Efficacy of 130 to 150 lm/W, from 2,600 lm at 20 W to 9,000 lm at 60 W: the range covers a technical corridor as well as a washing hall.
- Service life of 54,000 h at L90: 90 % of the initial flux retained at the end of this period, an important criterion when access to the luminaire requires stopping a production line.
- 850 °C glow-wire test: a fire behaviour characteristic of the material, to be checked according to the nature of the room.
Lengths range from 552 to 1452 mm for a constant diameter of 75 mm, which allows continuous lines to be aligned or isolated bays to be treated. The first decision concerns the diffuser: PMMA if the cleaning protocol uses high-pressure jets, polycarbonate if the risk is immersion or direct splashing. We can validate this choice and the layout based on the actual constraints of your premises.
