Detailed description
The Intenz Temperature is a high bay luminaire designed for environments where the ambient temperature rules out ordinary industrial lighting. Its operating range extends from -30 °C to +80 °C, a span that explicitly targets process areas: near furnaces and drying tunnels on one side, in refrigerated docks and cold stores on the other.
Use cases
- Hot process areas: furnaces, dryers, presses, heat treatment workshops.
- Food processing, including washed rooms and cooking areas.
- Cold stores and temperature-controlled docks, at the lower end of the range.
- High-ceiling workshops subject to strong seasonal variations.
Technical highlights
- From 18,000 to 40,000 lm depending on the version, with a stated efficacy of up to 180 lm/W. The range therefore covers a six-metre workshop as well as a high-ceiling hall, without changing luminaire reference.
- COOLHEART technology: the core of the luminaire is thermally insulated from the rest of the structure. This is what makes a service life of more than 100,000 hours achievable in a room at +80 °C, heat being precisely what degrades LEDs and drivers.
- OHP overheating protection system: the luminaire protects itself if the ambient temperature exceeds the intended limit, instead of silently degrading its components until failure.
- IP67: tight against dust and temporary immersion, therefore compatible with jet cleaning without special precautions.
- IK08: intermediate impact resistance, consistent with installation at height, away from vehicle traffic.
- DALI driver as standard: each luminaire is individually addressable, which allows scenarios per process area rather than switching on the whole building.
- Nichia LED chips, black aluminium body, diameter 45 cm.
This model is justified when the dominant constraint is thermal rather than photometric. If your ambient temperatures stay below 40 °C, a standard high bay will cost less for comparable performance. On the other hand, as soon as the luminaire sits above a heat source or in a stream of hot air, it is temperature resistance that decides the actual service life and the maintenance cost.
