Detailed description
The REXHALO FOOD is a circular luminaire designed for food production premises, that is, for workshops cleaned with high-pressure jets and steam several times a day. In this context, the selection criterion is not only photometric: it is the ability of the luminaire to withstand the washing protocol without letting water in or retaining dirt.
Applications
- Food cutting, processing and packaging workshops.
- Washing rooms and areas subject to steam cleaning.
- Refrigerated storage rooms and wet areas of the process industry.
- Central kitchens and high-volume catering sites.
Technical highlights
- IP69K: the highest level in the series, aimed precisely at high-pressure, high-temperature jet washing. The luminaire withstands 100 bar at 80 °C, which corresponds to actual disinfection practices.
- Design without rough edges or sharp angles: edges and gaps are where water stagnates and bacteria develop. A solid, rounded surface rinses off completely.
- Biocompatible coating: the luminaire is installed above production flows; its surface must remain neutral with respect to foodstuffs.
- 160 lm/W, from 8,000 lm at 50 W to 38,400 lm at 240 W: the range covers a packaging station as well as a high-ceiling production hall.
- Philips Lumileds LEDs and service life of 70,000 h at L80B20: at the end of this period, 80 % of the luminaires retain at least 80 % of their initial flux. On a site running three shifts, the frequency of interventions in the clean zone is a real cost item.
- IK10: resistance to handling impacts and flying equipment.
- Neutral white 4000 K, the usual working tint in production.
The format ranges from 380 mm in diameter and 63 mm thick to 500 mm and 38 mm, a low height that limits clutter under ducts and overhead conveyors. The choice is made first on the washing constraint: if the site is cleaned with high-pressure jets, IP69K is not a comfort option but a condition for durability over time.
