Detailed description
The LED Linear Flex SP01 is a linear strip encased in extruded silicone, designed for installations where the luminaire is subjected to water, UV and impacts at the same time. Its one-piece construction makes it a serious candidate for exposed outdoor projects, where a strip in a PVC sleeve ends up yellowing or cracking.
Applications
- Marinas, quays and structures exposed to salt spray.
- Bridges, footbridges and street furniture accessible to the public.
- Theme parks and leisure areas, with frequent washing.
- Pools, copings and submersible surroundings.
- Façades and plinths exposed to direct sunlight.
Technical highlights
- IP68: the strip withstands prolonged immersion, not just water spray. This is the level to choose whenever the profile can fill up or remain under water after a shower or cleaning.
- IK08: the mechanical resistance allows installation at head height, on surfaces where an accidental impact is likely.
- Extruded silicone: resistant to salt water, UV and solvents, and therefore compatible with industrial cleaning protocols and coastal atmospheres.
- Flux from 431 to 980 lm/m: the range makes it possible to treat a discreet decorative highlight as well as a genuinely illuminating line. The choice is made according to the distance to the working plane and the presence of competing light.
- CRI above 90: faithful rendering of materials, wood, stone or textile, as well as skin tones, which matters whenever there is a public or filming.
- Vertical bending radii: the strip bends in the plane of its emission, which simplifies corner returns and curves in elevation.
- UL / CE certification, stated service life of 30,000 h and 5-year warranty.
To decide, start from the dominant constraint: if it is water, IP68 settles it; if it is footfall or the risk of damage, it is IK08 that justifies the price difference with a standard silicone strip. It then remains to set the flux per metre and the length of the powered sections.
