Detailed description
The REX-NFWS-2620 is not a decorative strip but a flexible linear wall washer. It projects light evenly onto a vertical surface, while accepting a twist on two faces, which allows it to follow an arch or a vault without losing the orientation of its beam.
Applications
- Washing of walls, facings and cladding, indoors as well as in sheltered outdoor areas.
- Arches, vaults and curved ceilings in heritage architecture.
- Reception halls and circulation areas where the wall rather than the floor is to be lit.
- Shop windows and backdrops in retail fit-outs.
- Highlighting of textures: stone, concrete, brick, acoustic panels.
Optics and construction
- Twisting on two faces: the body of the luminaire twists, so the beam can remain perpendicular to the wall even as the line follows a curve. This is what distinguishes this product from a strip that one might try to bend by force, at the cost of a beam that goes askew.
- Patented optical lenses, 35 degrees or 30 x 45 degrees: the symmetric 35 degree opening suits a wall lit from a short, regular distance. The asymmetric 30 x 45 degree optic spreads the light further in one direction, useful for covering height with limited setback.
- 850 lm/m: a flux level compatible with genuine surface accent lighting, beyond a simple outline.
- 26 x 20 mm cross-section: to be included in the calculation of the available setback and the clearance at the foot of the wall.
- IP65: protection against dust and water jets, suited to sheltered outdoor areas and washable rooms, but not to immersion.
- Extruded silicone resistant to UV and chemical agents: lasting durability under sun exposure and compatibility with cleaning protocols.
- Ambient temperature from -25 to +40 degrees C: the upper limit deserves checking for confined installations or behind a south-facing glass roof.
- Concealed end caps for a clean finish, and 3-year warranty.
The decisive parameter is the ratio between the available setback and the height of the wall to be covered: it determines the choice of optic.
