Detailed description
The ELVABULB is a waterproof LED bulb intended for upgrading existing livestock buildings. It screws into a standard lamp holder and directly replaces the bulb in place: no rewiring, no fitting to change. It is the fastest way to switch a building to dimmable LED without undertaking electrical works.

- Renovation of livestock buildings still equipped with traditional bulbs.
- Ancillary rooms, hygiene airlocks and humid storage rooms.
- Buildings where a gradual lighting cycle is wanted without redoing the installation.
- One-off replacements on a mixed installed base, pending a complete renovation.
Technical highlights
- 7 W or 11 W, for 875 to 1375 lm, i.e. 125 lm/W. The two power ratings make it possible to keep the existing spacing while greatly reducing consumption.
- Flicker-free dimming from 0 to 100 %: this is what makes it possible to simulate a circadian cycle, with slow transitions in the morning and evening rather than a sudden switch.
- IP65: dust-tight and protected against water jets, therefore washable in place when the building is cleaned.
- Ammonia resistance: manure vapours quickly degrade ordinary plastics. It is this point, more than the power, that separates a livestock bulb from a domestic bulb.
- Fire resistance stated at 850 °C for the body materials.
- Aluminium base: it removes the heat produced by the electronics, which explains the 50,000-hour service life claimed in humid conditions, where a bulb with an all-plastic body fails much sooner.
- Colour temperatures from 2700 K to 6500 K, plus a blue version: the tint is chosen according to the species and the rearing stage.
- 143 g to 193 g depending on the version, with no excess load on existing lamp holders.
Above all, check that your dimmer accepts an LED load: this is the usual sticking point of retrofits, since a dimmable bulb connected to an unsuitable dimmer produces flickering and buzzing.
