Detailed description
The SAUNA 1617 is a flexible neon designed for a specific use case: hot, humid cabins, where most LED lines age badly. The combination of sustained heat, steam and cleaning products is what usually destroys standard plastic sleeves.
Target environments
- Saunas and sweat cabins, highlighting benches or backrests.
- Hammams, spas and wet areas in hotels.
- Changing rooms and communal shower areas.
- Wellness areas in high-end residential properties.
- Low-level circulation marking in humid environments.
Technical highlights
- Specific high-temperature design: the product is designed for the heat and steam conditions of a sauna, where a standard strip sees its service life collapse.
- Silicone sleeve resistant to yellowing and solvents: the colour of the light does not drift towards yellow over thermal cycles, and disinfectants do not attack the coating. On equipment cleaned daily, this point weighs more than flux in actual longevity.
- IP67: tight against dust and temporary immersion, therefore unaffected by condensation and jet washing.
- IK10: the highest level on the impact resistance scale. Relevant on benches where people lean, put objects down and where the luminaire remains within direct reach.
- Lumileds LEDs: a chip supplier whose manufacturing consistency limits differences in tint between lengths, a difference immediately visible as soon as several sections are placed side by side in the same cabin.
- 640 lm/m with a CRI above 90: enough for a legible atmosphere, faithful enough not to turn the light wood panelling typical of cabins green.
- 24 V DC and stated service life of 30,000 h.
The point to watch remains the location of the power supply, which must be outside the hot zone. Position the line under the benches or set back from the backrests to avoid direct glare for a person lying down. We can help you with the layout plan and the division into sections.
